A Coruña Airport holds IATA Code as LCG while the airport was previously known as Alvedro Airport. The airport serves Galician city of A Coruña (North West Spain). The airport is situated within Culleredois municipality. It is just 8 km from the city center named La Coruna, in Galicia in Northwest of Spain. The airport is member of Aena for its management. Aena is a government owned airport management company. It is an important city as it is the second-largest city within the autonomous community while it is placed seventeenth in overall Spain. The city is also the provincial capital the name sake province too. Further it has been the political capital for the Kingdom of Galicia effective the 16th till the 19th century. The place remained the regional administrative center between 1833 till 1982, before it was replaced by Santiago de Compostela.
